Does this Training have any Prerequisites?

An individual must have completed my level 1 accredited shamanic practitioner (accredited with IEHA), or be able to demonstrate an equivalent training level or professional experience.

  1. Age Requirement:
    Be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
  2. Commitment:
    Demonstrate a serious interest in shamanic arts and earth-centred practices, with the intention to apply these teachings personally and professionally.
  3. Emotional Readiness:
    Be willing to engage in deep personal processes, including shadow work, ancestral healing, and transformational practices.
  4. Professional Orientation:
    Have the capacity or aspiration to integrate shamanic practice into a professional context (e.g., therapeutic work, coaching, wellness, creative or healing arts).
  5. Health & Safety:
    Be in a stable physical, emotional, and psychological condition to participate in intensive group work and immersive ceremonial practices. (Applicants may be asked to disclose relevant health information to ensure safety and suitability.)
  6. Language:
    Have sufficient proficiency in English to understand teachings and participate in group dialogue.

To successfully complete this advanced training and receive certification, participants are required to demonstrate both practical competence and embodied understanding in the following key areas:

Ceremonial and Energetic Mastery:

This area focuses on the skills required to guide ceremonial spaces with precision, grounded presence, and deep energetic attunement. It includes understanding the architecture of ritual, the movement of energy within a ceremonial container, and the capacity to work in alignment with spirit, land, and lineage. Students learn how to invoke, tend, and release subtle forces with clarity and respect so that every ceremony unfolds within a stable and transformative field.

Facilitation and Leadership:

This dimension cultivates the confidence, clarity, and interpersonal awareness needed to guide groups through meaningful experiences. It emphasises ethical leadership, trauma-sensitivity, and the ability to meet participants with compassion and strength. Students refine their voice, timing, and communication skills while developing the discernment required to manage group dynamics, navigate challenges, and maintain a coherent and supportive environment.

Core Shamanic Competencies:

This pillar develops the foundational skills essential to shamanic practice. This component brings together all learning through hands-on experience, guided facilitation, and structured evaluation. Students design and lead aspects of ceremony, respond to real-time scenarios, and demonstrate their ability to uphold energetic, ethical, and logistical protocols. They are also required to demonstrate trauma-informed skills within the ceremonial container, showing that they can meet participants with sensitivity, grounding, and appropriate boundaries. Through supervision, feedback, and reflective practice, they integrate their skills into embodied competence, ensuring they are fully prepared to hold ceremonial spaces with confidence and clarity.

Graduation Criterion:

The Graduation Criterion reflects the practitioner’s ability to create and maintain a ceremonial & workshop container that is energetically secure, spiritually aligned, and held through a trauma-informed lens.

It encompasses anchoring the space, upholding boundaries, tracking group and individual dynamics, and guiding participants safely through the full arc of a ceremony with sensitivity and attuned presence.

Mastery in this area ensures that every energetic opening, holding, and closing of a ceremonial or workshop container, is intentional, coherent, and grounded in deep respect for the unseen forces that support the work.

Graduates who meet these standards will receive international certification as a Shamanic Space Holder and Embodied Ceremony Leader, recognising their readiness to facilitate sacred and transformational spaces with professionalism, integrity, compassion, and heart.

Each participant will have to bring their own shamanic frame drum and rattle.

Located in the Algarve in the southern region of Portugal (75 minutes from Faro airport), overlooking a vast natural area of hills and trees, this place has all the components of ecotourism.

This Eco resort offers extraordinary places for yoga, meditation, host ceremonies or any movement practice.

Concerning food, you will be able to reconcile with your body, since all meals on site are vegetarian, consisting of organic products with the principles of organic farming.

You will stay in spacious rooms tastefully decorated with terraces and private bathrooms.

The Atlantic ocean and some of Portugals most spectacular beaches are just 4 km from Monte Velho Eco Resort, which can be reached by car in less than 10 minutes!

Diet:

The diet for our retreat is vegetarian – which we modify slightly with the occasional egg dish. Our meals are all organic, fresh from the garden and homemade. We work with regional fruit, vegetables and herbs in novel and traditional combinations.

About the Facilitator:

Beáta is an international retreat leader, medicine woman, workshop facilitator, author, shamanic practitioner, sound healer, ceremonial leader, seer and keynote speaker with a gift for assisting individuals through deep transformation.

Beáta created the Integral Woman program for the Awareness Institute in Sydney, where she completed a two-year diploma in Shamanic and Energetic healing. She has also lived in Peru and studied with various curanderos (healers) of the Amazon and Andes.

Beáta facilitates private sessions, workshops, online mentorship programs and international retreats, and is regularly invited to be a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator at many festivals, events and seminars.
